Passion and inspiration
My journey as a conservation scientist began in early 2014 when I made a bold decision to change the path of my career as a packaging-color specialist at the second-largest retailer in the world, Target Corporation, to pursue a PhD program in which a scholarship and a thesis topic were waiting for me. The topic concerns the intersection of art and science. That decision was made simply because of the answer: I love art. I have studied science throughout my life, but I have always had a passion for art. As a PhD student who had to read numerous articles, I was introduced to the field of art conservation and the application of scientific techniques in this field. This realization made me realize that I was passionate about the field of art conservation and was eager to dedicate the rest of my life to it. As fate would have it, after completing my PhD research, I began applying scientific knowledge to art. A private art conservation studio hired me to establish a scientific laboratory for art analysis, which was likely the first of its kind in Thailand at the time (2019).
Expertise and Dedication
Delving into the world of paintings is a passion of mine. I find great joy in discovering and examining new artworks daily, employing various methods to reveal hidden insights within them. My work, however, extends beyond paintings to encompass a broader spectrum of art forms, including sculptures and carvings crafted from diverse materials like wood, metal, fabric, and ceramic.
Looking forward
Currently, I work as an independent conservation scientist based in Bangkok, Thailand, where I am constantly on the lookout for new projects to develop and complete.
